Hello and happy spring (or whatever season it is)! We (graduate researchers united) are reaching out to you because  we’re trying to engage various departments and student groups in preparation for bargaining a new contract next year. The union contract is an important legal agreement between all graduate researchers (anyone who receives a stipend and is working towards a PhD), and sets the rules for many aspects of our lives, including stipend levels, benefits, working conditions, and more. We’re holding a happy hour to talk about issues that are important to BME students. We’d love to see you there, and feel free to spread the word as far as you can through BME.
