On April 23rd, from 10am to 1pm, Oregon AFSCME is holding a day of action to kickoff the campaign for Jessica Vega Pederson, endorsed by AFSCME (and many other unions) for the position of Multnomah County Commision Chair. Pederson has been a solid supporter of AFSCME and more broadly of Labor. Because of her support we were successful in passing a Labor Harmony Agreement for Multnomah County contractors, organizing County on-call and temporary employees and Frontline Worker Pandemic Pay for County employees. Additionally she was a major force behind the Preschool for All Campaign.
