Marin is a rising second year PhD student in the PBMS program within the Molecular, Microbiology, and Immunology department. She is in Dr. Isabella Rauch's lab working on bacterial effectors and their impact on the intestinal epithelial cell extrusion process. Marin went to undergrad at the University of Denver and received a B.S. in Molecular Biology. In her free time she enjoys hiking and camping, especially around Mt. Hood. She also loves thrifting and has made a hobby of altering second hand clothing that she usually never wears.
