Alina Krollenbrock

GRU President

Alina Krollenbrock has been a graduate researcher in the Riscoe lab since 2016. In her research, she uses organic synthesis and chemical biology techniques to develop novel therapeutics for the treatment and prevention of malaria. During her time as a graduate researcher, Alina has been a foster parent, family caregiver for her mother-in-law, and most recently parent to a baby who never stops moving.

Alina has been involved with organizing GRU since 2018, and during the 2019 contract bargaining led the Contract Action Team. She is humbled and excited to continue organizing with GRU as its first president. Alina lives in Milwaukie with her wife Ashley, daughter Everett, and too many dogs, cats, and chickens.
